I'm gonna ease into this by hitting a couple of random topics... nothing in depth, just some "off the top of my head" thoughts...

1. ISRAEL... everyone's screaming about Israel bombing Hezbollah... I think it's time Israel started kicking some ass. No one else is really helping to protect them from all the people who wanna fuck with them... Leave the Jews alone!

2. Americans in other countries... If you are American and you decide to travel to countries like Iran, Afghanistan, or any of the other countries that have a strong distaste for us, Do NOT be suprised when you are killed! Idiot Americans are now trying to get out of Beiruit... Oh, please America, Help Us! FUCK OFF!... This goes double for the contractors who are in these other countries making MUCHO DINERO! You gambled on making money, the only problem is you gamble with your life... Don't cry when it's time to pay up...

3. PRINCESS DI ...I don't really care if they show her picture while she died... They show Kennedy, why should I be more sensitive to her?

4. REALITY SHOWS ...I must be a loser... I actually watched a reality show about car salesmen, and liked it! I guess it's like the saying goes "Everyone has a story"... It reminds me of the show where they would pick a person at random and tell you about thier life... Everyone is interesting, it just depends on how it's presented

5. REALTORS ...me and my wife passed our real estate tests, my uncle and aunt are brokers and I've come to this conclusion... I hate realtors! Most of them know nothing! They don't know any details about the property they are selling, they don't really know the law, and they never really listen to what you want in a property.

The only thing I hate more is, people who can't pronounce realtor... It's REAL-tor or RE-al-tor not RE-la-tor... learn english

6. HAZLETON PA ...Me and my wife left Hazleton because of the growing crime rate. Recenlty Mayor Lou Barletta proposed a law that makes illegal immigrants EXTREMELY unwanted... Businesses will have licensed to operate revoked, landlords will be fined and illegals will be deported... Cue the lawsuit machines...

Thank you Lou! Sometimes the Barletta name takes a beating in this area, but I think this is a great step to making the name great once again!

Whenever I mention that I watch American Idol I get the strangest looks...

I mean, why is that so odd? I'm a musician, I sing, college music theory, I've worked with an impressive number of high level stars in the music business... Why wouldn't I watch?

Yeah, I know the first few shows are just there to show off the fools who show up at the auditions... the people who are just there to goof off... the ones with limited mental ability, the strippers that think they can sing, and the REALLY scary ones, the ones that think they are god's gift to music and really suck!

This last group is possibly the most aggravating... I can actually sing a bit and have made money doing it and I wouldn't even dream that I could pass the audition. These jackasses walk in like they are the next Whitney, Mariah or Elvis and sound like screaming babies or drunken karaoke losers... Then, when they get denied, they curse, whine and scream like only the untalented can seem to do...

This year there are some good singers... Paris is FANTASTIC! I think she should win it all... However, then you have a guy who's about 16... nerdy looking as hell, and doesn't even have a good voice... How did this guy get thru this far?

I also enjoy watching the song choices. Some people have NO CLUE when it come to songs that will work... Unknown and going nowhere might work for Oscar nominees, but these people need all the help they can get...

...and then my fav of the year, Elliot Yamin... a guy who sings ok but looks like he just came off the farm... and it all comes down to the teeth... PLEASE, if you are going on national tv, GET YOUR TEETH FIXED!!! It's a small investment in your future...

One of my newer fav movies is "Brother, Where Art Thou" ...it's about a couple of hayseeds who sing and have a wild adventure... I can't help but see the resemblance in these two gents... maybe I'm wrong, what do you think?

"She extended Martin's message against poverty, racism and war. She deplored the terror inflicted by our smart bombs on missions way afar. "For war, billions more, but no more for the poor!" The crowd again cheered wildly.

Why does the media have to put out stories in an effort to start up trouble? Like this one I just read:

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez: "It would be easy for us to shut all our refineries in the USA"

A defiant Iran on Sunday ended snap U.N. checks of its nuclear sites and said it was resuming uranium enrichment, a day after being reported to the Security Council over suspicions it is building nuclear weapons.

Also on Sunday, King's four children talked about her last days, saying she had appeared to be making steps toward recovery before she died the day she was supposed to begin treatment at an alternative medical clinic in Mexico.

"It came as a tremendous shock to us. We had no idea," eldest daughter Yolanda King said at a news conference. "She was walking with a cane, she was speaking more words ... there was clearly progress happening."

Yolanda King said the family had thoroughly researched the clinic and "were stunned when we found out there were problems and challenges there."

Yolanda King said their mother was recovering from a stroke and heart attack she suffered in August when she was diagnosed with cancer.

Jeez, what part of this suprised them? That she died? She was 78, recovering from a stroke and heart attack and had cancer... Or was it the fact that they found there really was no miracle cure in a Mexican clinic? ...Obviously the research they did was, to say the least, deficient...

24- Hands down the top action show around. I love the one hour format. Keifer Sutherland is without a doubt one of the great tough guy with feeling actors around

American Idol- I love everything about it. The crappy singers in the beginning of the season? Great, and funny as hell. Think the judges are too hard on them? Wrong, imagine what the world would do to them. These fools need this ridicule to be shown exactly how much they suck. There are too many people out there that think what a musician does is SO easy. Here's a nice chance to show them where they really stand. PS, I have played music professionally and have gone to school for it and even I wouldn't think I'm good enough to go on the show...

Survivor- I love seeing the new twists they pull on the contestants. I also enjoy seeing how stupid people are when they make obvious mistakes with their big mouths. The only thing I'm waiting for is when the show decides to send people into a winter wasteland type situation. Northern Canada, Siberia, somewhere chilly... now THAT would shake things up!

Monk- I think Tony Shaloub plays a great OCD sufferer. I mean, just hearing a line like "It's foot wine! I can taste the feet! ...and the toes!" ...It doesn't get much better. And the supporting cast does a great job too. If you've ever know a person like this, once you look past the difficulty of life, it's humorous to watch. Especially if they know it, and have the inner calm to be able to see the humor of it...

Not many things make me sick to my stomach, who would think a couple of 16 year old girls would finally do it?

I just finished watching a show called Party, Party. It basically chronicled the sweet 16 parties of 2 girls. I've never seen people throw away so much money on people who didn't understand the concept of money. One mom was told the basic party would be about $35,000... she kind of balked at first, but in the end went all out anyway... then they were shown looking at new BMW's... the daughter was pissed that she only got her mom's old one...

What else? Hmmm... an "Oxygen Bar" at the party... yeah, I'm sure the parents of the other kids will love that...

Then the one mom got upset with the "grinding" dances and request a slow dance to "slow things down". Let's see mom, what else can you do? AH! Have your daughter dance with some nice geeky guy that is acceptable to you! All the girl did during this was say how her boyfriend (who was also there) was going to kill her... The boyfriend cut in and that was that... Sorry mom, this is the guy that's gonna be grinding your baby girl in the fancy hotel room that you also paid for...

OK, why am I so offended by this? Jealousy? No... anyone who knows me, knows I make a very comfortable living... I have an $8500 guitar that I barely play... figure it out...

Because they are the "beautiful people"? ...nah, I'm more impressed by strength and power than the finer things in life... I kinda laugh at those who are self-impressed by their cultured lives... hey, they were pulled out of a bloody crotch just like me...

TORONTO, Ontario (AP) -- Canadian officials, seeking to make sense of another fatal shooting in what has been a record year for gun-related deaths, said Tuesday that along with a host of social ills, part of the problem stemmed from what they said was the United States exporting its violence.

"It's a sign that the lack of gun laws in the U.S. is allowing guns to flood across the border that are literally being used to kill people in the streets of Toronto," Miller said.

"There are neighborhoods in Toronto where young people face barriers of poverty, discrimination and don't have real hope and opportunity. The kind of programs that we once took for granted in Canada that would reach out to young people have systematically disappeared over the past decade and I think that gun violence is a symptom of a much bigger problem," Miller said.

The escalating violence prompted the prime minister to announce earlier this month that if re-elected on January 23, his government would ban handguns.

John Thompson, a security analyst with the Toronto-based Mackenzie Institute, says the number of guns smuggled from the United States is a problem, but that Canada has a gang problem -- not a gun problem -- and that Canada should stop pointing the finger at the United States.

"It's a cop out. It's an easy way of looking at one symptom rather than addressing a whole disease," Thompson said.

BOILO... Nectar of the Godz!

In my area of Pennsylvania there is a traditional winter drink that is produced by local residents call BOILO...

It is the kind of drink that can soothe a winter cold, take the chillout of your bones after shovelling snow, or get you REALLY F'ed up if you're not careful...

Everyone has their own recipe and there are even contests for it. So here's my recipe... Try it, especially if you're not from Pa and have never heard of it...

INGREDIENTS:
1 can of ginger ale
12 ounces apple juice
4 oranges
2 lemons
1 lime
24oz honey
4 cinnamon sticks
handful of raisins
handful of sugar
1 tablespoon caraway seeds
1 tablespoon of cloves
1 Fifth of whiskey (cheap stuff, Jack Daniels or even moonshine will work)

Use a large covered crockpot... not TOO hot!

Pour in ginger ale and apple juice, cinnamon sticks, raisins, sugar, caraway and cloves.

Peel oranges, lemons and lime. Cut into small pieces and squeeze juice into crockpot. Then throw the pulp into the crockpot, also.

Add honey and stir...

Allow to brew for about 4 hours

Add your whiskey and simmer for about 30 minutes, covered.

Squeeze the mixture through a strainer into a pitcher... You can drink this right now! It is made to be consumed warm, the pulp will give it body...

But here's where you can become one of the Boilo elite. Let the mixture settle overnight. The pulp will settle to the bottom. Carefully pour off the yellowish/clear part on top into bottles (the yellow/clear part is the desired finished product). Re-strain the pulpy part thru a metal coffee filter. Do this a few times.

You can drink the pulpy part for a heavier, more relaxing drink. And keep the refined part to serve to friends and family.

Once you get used to it, it will no doubt become a winter tradition. You will come up with your own variations of it (don't stray too far or Boilo traditionalists will burn as a heretic!)...

Like every year, the holidays have arrived and I have not bought a thing for anyone until the last minute. And the one thing I thought I had planned as the perfect gift blew up in my face...

My neice had mentioned playing the violin in school. Being a musician, the first thing that popped into my head "Buy her a violin!"

Yeah, it would have been great... however, there was no more room in the school class and there are no private teachers where she lives... Xmas gift, screwed...

This year I actually thought about buying my wife a gift using the Golden Rule: "Nothing that must be plugged in!" ...I was going to buy her a beautiful ring. Problem, no idea what size she wears, does she know? of course not... So next year I will also add to the golden rule "nothing that I must put together"

Last year, the perfect gift was for my cousin who is a guitarist. I used to play with a guy who went on to considerable success in the genre of music known to my cousin. IDEA! Have him send me out some picks, autographed posters etc and make a nice display. How could you go wrong? A gift that can't be bought... stuff from a true star... I would be the hero...

Well...

It was great until the early part of January when he was picked up by police on charges of suspected, uh, sex offenses...

Richard Pryor was a genius, what else needs to be said? Actually alot still needs to be said. Unfortunately, I don't have the verbal skills to express my grief the way he was able to express my joy.

He wasn't just a funny guy who cursed alot. His deepest fears and pains were given to us wrapped in a present that somehow gave us hope. He was able to look into the soul of hatred and still see humanity, even under the veil of prejudice.

He's one of the only people who's death actually hurt me. It made me sad, but at the same time I can never explain the happiness this man's life has given me.

Thank you Richard having the nerve to conquer the world...

My view? Good...

No doubt, you're going to hear a million tales about how he was mentally unstable. You'll hear that the marshals should have used better judgement. Why do they carry guns? Passengers will say they didn't hear he had a bomb... and all kinds of other crap that means NOTHING!

The wife KNEW he was a wacko, she KNEW he didn't take his meds. Now, she wants to cry over what happened?

The media will give credence to a passenger who said "I didn't hear him say he had a bomb" ...like, just because one person didn't hear it, he must not have said it.

People are becoming a real bunch of jerkoffs when it comes to dealing with others in society. No one knows how to behave in a civilized manner anymore. Lunatics running around unsupervised, people who think the road is their own private video game, boozers making fools of themselves, and girls who think they can act like whores and have nothing bad happen.

I think it's time we take a hard look at some things we are doing in our society:

Agents obtained the search warrants after learning that 10 workers employed by Destin Drywall & Paint were using Social Security numbers that did not match their names. Another three used Social Security numbers that were never issued by the government. A Wal-Mart spokesman has said the detained workers were not employed by Wal-Mart but by the subcontractors.

In this area of Northeast Pennsylvania, the illegal alien problem is becoming daily news. Towns like Hazleton seem to have become the port-of-call for the Hispanic influx.

Here's the rundown. The area was built on the hard work of immigrants, LEGAL IMMIGRANTS! Immigrants who came to this country, to become part of this country. They did it legally, yeah, it might have been the hard way, but it was the right way!

I can't stand the idea of people skirting the law. I live life by the book, pay my fair taxes and reap what I sow. I work hard and probably should be compensated more, but I work within the system to advance.

Now, you have people coming here, using false ID's and somehow they want to be entitled to the rights and freedoms our forefathers fought and died to give us. I don't know about you, but that's disrespecting my heritage, no matter what country I came from.

Everyone has the right to come here and be free, but when you start by breaking the law, you are already a piece of garbage that we do not need. Somehow the politicians use the race issue to say we are denying these people because of skin color. I think we've gotten past that already. What we're talking about is simple respect for the law. If we can't even get that, why should we expect loyalty?

So, here I am talking with a guy I know. After quite a long time into the conversation, out of nowhere, he says "I'm going to Michigan"

Now understand, Michigan is like 8 hours away...

So, I asked why, and he said he was going to meet a girl. He was also going to meet a girl in Pittsburgh (about 5 hours away).

Ah, welcome to the world of internet romance. Am I the only one who sees this as ridiculous? Supposedly, both of these girls are gorgeous and over 18. A gorgeous girl over the age of 18 DOES NOT need to meet some nitwit on the internet from 8 hours away!

I've given the whole concept some thought and here's what I've come up with. My research includes seeing other couples who have met on the 'net and using a functional brain...

1. Most people looking for love on the net are at the least socially inept, at worst, sociopathic...

2. Most people use a photo of them at thier best (usually from 5 years and 35 pounds ago)

3. Have these people never watched the news to know these things are a bad idea?

4. You meet the person, end up alone with them. Next thing you know, you have a syringe sticking out of you and they are preparing to carve you up for Thanksgiving dinner...

5. The person will probably give you a false address or not show up.

6. Can you ever tell someone how you met without feeling foolish?

7. What about gay meetings? Ever see Animal House? You think you're gonna meet your perfect guy/girl and there are 5 guys waiting to beat the shit out of you in a motel room... not a nice thought, huh?

8. Finally and remember this is a general overview!. Most people that look for love on the net are losers. Most of the couples I have come across who found love this way are usually people who aren't even pleasant to look at with "beer goggles". The average tooth count is about 15, between the both of them (unless you add that green one that's bubbling). If you have to go OUTSIDE OF YOUR STATE to meet someone compatible, it's time to give it up, you may be undateable.

I look at that guy in the mirror every morning... I accept it and know the risks I take, but I'm not about to blame the world for forcing me to go beyond human limits...

So, I think I came up with the plan for success...

1. Get educated... if you can read this, graduate from high school at least, college... get there any way you can!

2. Women, keep your legs closed... when bads things happen to you, it will be your own fault. Guys leave, sorry, but we aren't that trustable... Didn't you realize that yet?

3. Guys... wear a rubber... that girl you bagged after a few drinks? How hard do you think it was for the numerous other guys before you? Get the hint?

4. Get a job... Can't find your dream job yet? Clean toilets, flip burgers or deliver newspapers... Do what you must to survive on your own! Secondly, you never know when a "crap job" will lead to a great opportunity. Here's a great example: My son went to Police Training, he wanted to be a cop. He decided to take extra courses in criminal justice because he decided State policeman is better than local cop. After graduation he needed a job until the "dream job" came up. He got hired as a security guard, crappy job huh? Well, he was assigned at a local nuclear plant, made a good impression and was hired by the plant directly. He now makes more than his dream job could EVER pay. So, by doing what he HAD to, he's now doing what he WANTS to.

5. Be strong... Physically, mentally, personality-wise and in every other facet of your life. Be strong, but respectful... strength without common sense is a very weak combination, and very dangerous

6. SAVE! Don't spend every penny you get, learn how to save money. And once you do buy something, NEVER sell it at a loss! Even if you "just want to get rid of it". Everything has value and someone out there will pay what you want, just have patience.

and finally... Take Responsibility for your actions. Blaming others for your misfortune is not the way to get ahead. Working with others to achieve together, IS!

With the passing of Septemember 11th, I sit and wonder how many actually remember that day. It makes me sick to think back and think of the horror and disbelief I felt that day. And how angry it still makes me feel...

MY MEMORIES:
I was the only one in my plant who had a radio. Of course I was listening to Howard Stern and having a little chuckle, when he made the announcement "A plane has crashed into the World Trade Center, it's on fire" ...immediately I thought "What a dick, that's not a cool joke to be making" until I realized it was true...

I remember telling people about it and everyone was like "Bullshit, that has to be a lie!"

...and the second tower

...and the Pentagon

...and a plane in western Pennsylvania

This had to be a joke, how could this be happening?!

Then the moment that broke me... "oh no, oh no... oh my god! The world trade center just collapsed, the whole building is just... gone" (...I'm trying to hold back my tears as I write this...) I vividly recall the heartbroken voice of Crazy Cabbie calling in to give his account of the fall, I couldn't hold back my tears...

As the day drew to a close, I went to my bed knowing the world would never be the same for me. I knew the anger I would have to supress for the rest of my life.

I knew the bleeding hearts would beg us to "Forgive"

I knew the authors of hatred would blame our love of the Jews

I knew the "tin foil hat" brigade would find a conspiracy

I knew I would hate... hate the people who did it, hate the people who sided with them, hate the people who called for peace, hate the people who tried to stop us from just retribution...

I thought about this for a bit, mostly after the uproar over the "whites find/blacks loot" controversy...

Think about what is happening down there... People are homeless, lots of devastation, no business or commerce is in sight. What can you possibly do? Leave a dollar on the counter when you take something?

Take what you need... now here's where the rub starts:

Food and water and some other necessities should be legal to take IN FAIR AMOUNTS! No excessive stockpiling, that's not necessary, it's piggish! These things are going to rot or be unusable anyway... The stores should be covered by insurance, so thier loss will not be softened by being able to clean up some cans of string beans. PS, this "finding" must only be restricted to the hardest hit areas. A guy in New Jersey can't use this argument...

Stereos, DVD's, TV's, cars and things like this? You take them you will be shot! It's a done deal, these things are not necessary to you living, especially the electric stuff, what are you gonna plug it into? This is stealing and you should be eradicated...

Some other random thoughts:

Hospitals should be very alert, break-ins for drugs may become a problem...

Prisoners in jails are going to try to escape

Republicans did not cause the hurricane...

God did not bring justice down on the immoral, there is no god...

Don't blame the army corp of engineers for not making the levee category 5 proof, it was not soley thier decision, and as always it's a game of odds. Why didn't these people leave at the first raindrop? Why didn't they have more insurance? Why didn't they buy a motor home? Why didn't they keep a boat in the garage? and supplies? Everything is a game of odds, remember that, you can not place blame because NOTHING is infallible...

Actress and activist Jane Fonda says she intends to take a cross-country bus tour to call for an end to U.S. military operations in Iraq.

The family of a Marine,Staff Sgt. Joseph Goodrich, who was killed in Iraq is furious with Lt. Gov. Catherine Baker Knoll for showing up uninvited at his funeral this week, handing out her business card and then saying "our government" is against the war.

Mother explains fatal pit bull mauling

The mother of a 12-year-old boy killed in his own home by one of the family's two pit bulls said she had been so concerned about one of the dogs that she shut her son in the basement to protect him.

Maureen Faibish said she ordered Nicholas to stay in the basement while she did errands. She said she was worried about the male dog, Rex, who was acting possessive because the female, Ella, was in heat.

PORTLAND, Ore. - Two men arrested while shooting firearms in the Larch Mountain wilderness area have piqued the interest of the FBI. A substantial cache of high-powered weapons were found near the men, though they denied the weapons belonged to them.

Police say they also found gas masks in a duffel bag with semi-automatic rifles, a shotgun and ammunition.

The men have been identified as Abdullah Shabazz and Yassin Abdourahman. The men were found on private property after the authorities received a complaint of "machine gun fire" in the Larch Mountain area. Several years ago, several members of the "Portland Seven", an alleged Islamic terrorist cell, were also apprehended in the Larch Mountain area while testing weapons.

An Edmonton-area elementary school is looking at temporarily banning the sale of milk because of the allergies of two students. The other 400 or so students would still be allowed to bring milk to school, but wouldn't be able to buy it.

So, two students are allergic, they know they're allergic, if they buy milk and drink it and die, are we supposed to feel sorry for them? No... I know rat poison might kill me or at least give me the shits, If I ingest it IT'S MY FAULT!

"The other issue that we have to be clear about is could we rationalize, under any circumstance, sponsoring a known allergen in the school?" he said.

There are lots of KNOWN allergens, someone, somewhere is allergic to just about anything...solution? school should be banned!

"If we knew that we have students that have peanut allergies in the school, would it make sense for the school to sponsor, on a daily basis, peanut butter sandwiches for students?

Why not? This is another example of a sensible idea taken to the extreme. The whole point of this argument started when peanut oil began being used to cook food and peanut pieces were added to food for flavoring. PART ONE:
I was watching American Chopper moving from their garage to the new facility. It turned into a festival of destruction. It made me sick watching the sad look on Vinnie and Rick's faces as Paul Sr and his helpers were throwing a brand new leather couch out the window... Probably cost as much as Vinnie makes in 2 weeks, and the thing that made it really sick was the fact that it was BRAND NEW!

Then, Paul Sr gets the bright idea to drive his Explorer thru the shop, bashing the office, crashing down walls... Needless, selfish and foolish...

PART TWO:
The company I work for has all the symptoms of a terminal patient. Doctor, I think she's flatlining... pull the plug... During the day you see maintenance workers forklifting loads of equipment to the docks, computers, chairs, fans, office supplies, you name it, it's going to the back. Yeah, the stuff may not be "cutting edge" but instead of doing something worthwhile with it THEY SEND IT TO THE DUMP!

Yeah, they'll write it off... Why not write it off as a donation to a local school?... how about the United Rehabilitation Service for the Handicapped? ...why not offer it to your hard working, underpaid employees?

Why don't they do it? Because they are wasteful, vindictive pricks! They enjoy destroying things because they believe life is a zero sum game... If you're getting ahead, they must be losing something...

Here's a question that's been bothering me for a while...

I'm not a computer genius but I have a little knowledge about the way things work. Is there no way for us to track down these people thru the internet? Who owns these websites? ...somebody must. Can't we track down the sources and follow where they lead? Follow who goes in and out of these locations, and ultimately to our targets?

They can track down some guy in Bumf*ck, Idaho who wants to have sex with 9 year olds, but we can't find a six foot four inch killer or his henchmen? Something is wrong with this picture...

Don't get the idea that I'm bashing the military or our government, because I'm not. But it seems like things have been overlooked...

There are three answers that could come of this:
I am a genius who figured out where the problem is! ...I don't think this could be missed. There has to be at least one other person who has this thought somewhere within our government or military...

It is not possible ...this could be the answer, like I said I'm not a computer genius. Maybe I'm missing some information on how these things work (...but for some reason, I don't think so)

These are being used, but have born no fruit ...This is the most likely scenario. These things are never as easy as they seem. I can understand how hard it would be to find a moving target amidst the chaos that is prone to occurring in this region.

Like a lot of people I watch American Chopper... I don't know why...

The arguments are always the same, the bikes are always the same, the premise is always the same... I love choppers but these guys are a joke... HERE'S WHY:

REASONS I HATE AMERICAN CHOPPER AND THE TEUTELS:

1. DEADLINES ...ya ever notice these guys are NEVER on time? ...and that's for bikes they are filming for TV, imagine if you actually wanted to buy one... How long do you think Joe Schmoe's bike would take?

2. VENDORS ...it's amazing how they say they make "custom bikes" but most of the bike is manufactured by outside vendors! Frame from this one, fenders from that one... jeez, I could buy a chopper kit and come up with the same thing for WAY LESS money... Ever see what THEY want for even the most standard bikes? Your balls would fall off!

3. FINESSE ...meaning "they have none"! Most of the bikes don't really fit together well, there's a lot of "hammer it until it fits" and "just get it on there" type of fabrication... not cool for a high dollar item

4. USABILITY ...Paul Jr, innovative designer ...knows nothing about "function versus form"... That upright exhaust may look cool, but wait til you pass out from the fumes... or when your seat catches fire from the pipes that run under it, or when your oil just doesn't do it's job because of excess heat, maybe you'll talk to a REAL builder...

5. FALSE IMPRESSIONS ...here's Jr and Sr riding around in matching Hummers, when they aren't in the Prowler or the custom Mustang, bashing cars around like toys... But somehow Mikey can only ride around in some piece of crap?

6. PATIENCE ...ya know that guy Justin that was doing their painting? He was THE KING! His work ruled! Yet the dimwits of OCC figured he wasn't good enough to work with them, because he didn't work to their f'ed up schedule... He was an incredible artist and worked faster than anyone I've seen, but these jackasses who are getting more for a bike than a house expect a guy who is making peanuts to put out as much as them? sorry, doesn't work that way...

7. BOLT ON TECHNOLOGY ...Seems to me, all of the bikes are the same except this one has a wrench welded on, and that on has a welder bolted on, and the other one has a spider web, oh wait, so does that other one... jeez, guys, learn some new tricks...

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - A pit bill that had once bitten a person, fatally mauled a young girl before being subdued by firefighters using a fire extinguisher. The girl, who was 2 or 3 years old, was pronounced dead at a hospital following the attack Tuesday at the dog owner's home.

The pit bull's owner, who also was not identified, had posted several "beware of dog" signs and was keeping the dog inside the house because it had previously bitten another person. No charges have been filed, authorities said Wednesday.

Young said animal control officials will ask a judge to order that the dog be destroyed.

How many times will we have to read this kind of story before something is done? Violent animals must be killed and their owners accountable for the injury or death that they have caused!

Now, before all you so-called animal lovers start screaming "It's the owners, not the animals!" chew on this parallel... Ted Bundy should be innocent due to the fact that his parents raised him, they ignored the warning signs that he was a predator, and because he wasn't raised right he is not responsible for the mental problems that he was saddled with... WRONG!!!

His parents are responsible for his actions because they ignored the signs that allowed him to continue his evil deeds. HE is responsible because he committed these acts. JUST LIKE AN ANIMAL!

These are animals that cannot be reasoned with. Animal activists think they know what animals feel... They feel a special bond with their animal, and I understand that. But some breed are definitely in the "dangerous" class. I'm not saying they should be pre-emptively killed, but I am saying that if they DO show violent behavior, we should err on the side of protecting humans, not the HOPE that this animal will be nice in the future...

The law should be enacted immediately. Believe me, if a dog did this to my child, the dog and the owner would be facing a very swift and painful form of justice... Old Testament Style!

The company brags that 70% of their employees are full time, but fails to disclose that they count anyone working 28 hours a week or more as full time. There are no health care benefits unless you have worked for the company for two years.

Did we forget the concept of personal responsibility? You think the workers do not know this going in? And if they didn't, it is THEIR fault for not finding out the details of the job they applied for...

They force employees to work after ordering them to punch out. In Oregon a jury found them guilty of locking employees in the building and of forcing unpaid overtime.

I'm an American with a set of balls, do you think someone will tell me I have to work without getting paid? Do you think someone is going to LIVE if they try to lock me inside a building and force me to work? ...that would be quite a sight the next morning.

With 4,400 stores they practice "predatory pricing." They come into a community and sell their goods at below cost until they drive local businesses under. Once they have captured the market the prices go up. Locally owned and operated businesses put virtually all of their money back into the community which helps keep the local economies vibrant. This corporation sucks the money out of the local community, decreases wages and benefits and ships the profits out of state. In Kirksville, Missouri when this company came to town, four clothing stores, four grocery stores, a stationary store, a fabric store and a lawn-and-garden store all went under. Eleven businesses are now gone.

Walmart kills the Mom and Pop stores... So what?! Can mom and pop get you items at the same price? yeah, I didn't think so... If you're so concerned about them, shop there! Tell your friends, it's called "choice"! You have the free will to buy where you want! Capitalism, keep up or shut down... And the money they make will go SOMEWHERE, it will go to SOME community, it does not just disappear, someone will benefit somewhere...

A biology class lesson in Gunnison, Utah involving the dissection of a live dog has outraged some parents and students, according to a report.

"I thought that it would be just really a good experience if they could see the digestive system in the living animal," Biology teacher Doug Bierregaard said.

Biology teacher Doug Bjerregaard, who is a substitute teacher at Gunnison Valley High School, wanted his students to see how the digestive system of a dog worked.

Bjerregaard made arrangements for his students to be a part of a dissection of a dog that was still alive.

The dog was still alive, but the teacher said it was sedated before the dissection began.

With the students watching, the sedated dog's digestive system was removed.

The teacher is standing by his decision and calls it the ultimate educational experience.

Ok, first thing... This is a HIGH SCHOOL class, not a med school or veterinary school. Do these kids REALLY need to know THAT much detail about the workings of a dog's digestive system?

The family of Terri Schiavo, the severely brain-damaged woman who died in March after her feeding tube was removed, say that they have no idea where her ashes have been laid to rest. Michael Schiavo has ignored a court order that he should keep them informed about her ashes and plans for a memorial service.

Mr Schiavo had said that her ashes would be buried at a family plot in Pennsylvania.

"We still don't know where Terri's ashes were laid," Bobby Jr said. "They were court-ordered, they were supposed to tell us, but we have not heard from Michael Schiavo."

Mr Schiavo's lawyer, George Felos, could not be reached for comment.

Is this guy a scumbag or what? This was his wife, true... but was it really? After he took a new wife and had children with her, he was no longer a husband. I could understand his arguing the point of her last wishes. After that responsibilty was satisfied, his part of the marriage was over. Her ashes should have been turned over to her REAL family. They never left her, they never stopped loving her, they should have the chance to at least know where their daughters ashes are!

Maybe this guy will put Terri's plot on his one side and the new wife's on the other, that's a nice slap in the face to both of them.

A COURT in The Hague turned down a demand by a dozen plaintiffs who wanted to force the Dutch government to arrest US President George W Bush when he visits the Netherlands on Saturday.

I live out in farm country. Do you have any idea how many times I see dog houses in the back of someone's house, and sitting next to it all alone is a forlorn dog waiting for some human companionship or his next meal?

... How about this? He's probably waiting for lightning to strike him dead and release him from this hell that he's been dragged into by uncaring human animals!

In summer they bake, usually without enough water, being eaten alive by insects...

In winter they freeze, without enough protection from the elements...

Me and my wife always adopt pets from the local animal shelter. We walk in and say "We want a cat" As soon as they start showing us the selection we always say "What cat is down to it's last days (...in other words what one are they planning on euthanizing?)" They point to a big ugly cat with one missing tooth named Churchill or a clinically terrified cat named Shayna, and we say "That's the one!" Why do we do this? We give an animal who is down to it's final days a chance at a good life... Churchill lived with us MANY years as a pampered pet. Shayna (who turned out to be a boy so we changed his name to Shemp) finally has evolved from an abused, terrified misfit into the king of the house, who loves as much attention as we can give.

We refuse to go the chain stores to buy a pet, they are nothing but "puppy mills" no matter what they say. There are more than enough homeless pets to go around without (over)breeding more of them.

This is the true meaning of being civilized...

Giving another being a chance at life... a life worth living... love and companionship is a two way street. It is an invaluable source of great pleasure. That's all these animals ask of us and it's the least we can do for them... They deserve to be treated with love and respect.

If you cannot give this to an animal, DO NOT GET ONE!!!

For the life of me I can't understand why people are against The Minutemen. They are out along OUR border, watching for and reporting people ILLEGALLY entering our country. They are not acting as policemen by arresting or even confronting them. They are not harassing them, some have even offered aid to the ones in bad shape.

They are acting as an expanded version of a "Neighborhood Watch" and we should be shaking their hands! They are adding a much needed extra set of eyes along our border.

It seems like one of the things people always mention is "Some of them are armed". Yeah, so? If I was out in the desert, observing people committing an unlawful act, miles from any immediate help, I would have my sidearm also. My LEGAL sidearm! I would observe and report any illegal entry while on my own land as I have the right and am compelled to do. I would take whatever LEGAL action I could to stop this crime. (...starting to see the operative phrase here?)

The people who want to distract you from the real point of the argument will say "This is racist" ...If someone is breaking into your house who happens to be black, is this racist? No! So why should we allow anyone to break into our country, steal our untaxable dollars, and hide from prosecution? We shouldn't!

I'm talking about the hardware needed to play the damn thing! I know dozens of people who bought computers during the Compaq sales frenzy of a few years ago... at the time the comps were VERY up to date for the time, 800mhz processor 128ram... how much more did you need?

Ever look at game requirements now? Most require at least a 1g processor along with a specific type of high end video card. Not to mention the games that are ps2, xbox or nintendo specific games...

To me it seems like the lower end users are being snubbed and pushed aside.

Imagine this, you go to get gas, but it won't work in your car because it's not a Ferrari... Hey, it's only a Geo but it drives right? wrong...

In my youth, the overshadowing presence of doom in my life was my father. A Marine who made Robert Duvall in "The Great Santini" look like a pussy. He was everything I hated, a stern badass who loved America and would die for it.

I, on the other hand, was a child of a new generation. Peace, music and "let me do my own thing" was my way of thinking. Don't expect me to cut my hair. Die for you? Kill for you?! Don't be an idiot... I remember waiting until the last day possible to sign up for the draft. It was my attempt at passive resistance. I remember being interviewed by a local paper about a military action that was happening at the time. I remember saying "No way, We don't need another Vietnam"

I thought that was being righteous. How wrong can a person be? My father, in a moment of uncharacteristic understanding, once said to me "I can understand your need to spit, but must it be into the wind?" I didn't understand what he meant and figured it was just another way to "keep me down".

So, I lived a great part of my life hating. I thought my father was a hate-monger, but I was no better. My dad's version of motivation was "you don't have to like it, you just have to do it"... Maybe not the best way to lead, but that was all he knew.

For all his faults, I finally realize that some things I learned from him actually were important. Loyalty, love of country, respect for women, have convictions, intelligence can coincide with strength, and most importantly "no one has all the answers".

Looking back, I could romanticize it and say "I wouldn't change a thing" but I'd be lying. I wish my father would have been able to express his feelings without having to scream. I wish he could have understood mine, without feeling betrayed. Years as a family were lost in an alcohol drenched self pity. My sister, who never had any connection with him, lived her life in a state of "hatred by means of apathy". My brother tried to live up to his standard and almost lost his life trying.

After all this, what have I learned?

Live your life by YOUR standards, not someone elses...

Let others live thier own life UNLESS it infringes on yours...

Respect others and Command Respect, do not DEMAND respect...

People will make mistakes, I don't blame people for their mistakes, but I do ask that they pay for them...

Just remember this...

Prophets, Gods and snake handlers...
Artists, dreamers and thieves...
Healers, kings and monsters...
Will end up on thier knees...

In the end, life brings them all to the same place...

IT'S OFFICIAL! Jack Daniel's is a Sellout!

I never thought I'd see the day I would say this, "Jack Daniel's Sucks!
On the surface it seems like the same Jack we've always known and loved. However. The company decided to make a change to No.7 ...The whiskey now registers 80 proof, instead of 86.

WHY?
In the response to my letter of complaint to the company, The master brewer told me, most people like to "cut it" with soda or water anyway, they want the taste without it being quite so strong...

BULLSHIT!!!

The REAL JD drinkers love Jack straight... PERIOD! Let the yuppie wanna-be's drink a wine cooler or a Lynchburg Lemonade if they want, but don't even TRY to say you're a real No.7 lover...

Now, you might say "Big Deal, 80proof (40%) or 86proof (43%)...what's the difference?" The difference is JD is a southern tradition, it's a piece of who we are. "Made the same way since 1866" is now a bunch of crap! True southerners and real Americans don't "take kindly" to sellouts. I don't like people who try to cheat people that made them what they are. I hate the fact that they are selling me less Jack and more water and still charging the same price. The same way I hate record companies that now pay next to nothing for a CD as opposed to tape or vinyl and charge MORE for it!

I guess it's time to embrace the "coal country" traditions that I'm now surrounded by. Living in Schuylkill County PA has it's own traditions. I recently made my first batch of "Boilo"... Don't know what boilo is? Don't worry, I'll be posting my own recipe in future posts... send yours for me to post, if you'd like...

Yeah, if I'm at a club I'm probably still gonna order a good old No.7, but I will no longer feel comradery with the guy two stools down with the pierced tongue ordering one too...

Stay at your end of the bar and I'll stay at mine... wuss...

Stupid Idea or Cool Bling?

Is this the coolest or what?!

How someone could actually look at this, put it in thier mouth and think they look cool is beyond my comprehension. I don't know what's a more sick concept: Put dentures over your real teeth and get all that food particles and stank going on in your mouth OR Put them over your green crooked rotted teeth to hide whats going on in your mouth...

Do these people have the illusion that people say "Wow! that guy/girl must be RICH!!! They have GOLD TEETH!!!"

Ya know what I see? A person with a sign on thier back:
"I DESPERATELY NEED ATTENTION!"
take these teeth, your sean john pantsuit and your expensive sneakers, cash them in at a pawn shop, finish school, learn to speak proper english and when your bank account impresses me THEN you can go buy all the gold teeth you want!

But please, don't smile, it's still gross!
